In Sturgeon Bay, we are located at the Door County Maritime Museum. There is ample parking at the museum. Meet at our kiosk situated between the museum and Michigan Street bridge.
In Baileys Harbor, we are located at the Baileys Harbor Town Marina. There are a number of free public parking lots within a block or two, as well as nearby on street parking. Meet at the dock.

You are welcome to bring personal items on board for your comfort, including food and beverages. It’s a good idea to dress in layers and bring an extra layer like a sweater, jacket, or even a blanket, as well as hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. It is often much cooler on the water than at the dock!

Although we do allow small dogs on a case-by-case basis, provided they are well-behaved, we don’t recommend making this your dog’s first time on a boat. The captain reserves the right to deny pets on board at the time of tour. Please note there is no guarantee of rescue if an animal goes overboard. Only one dog is allowed per tour, so please call to inquire prior to booking 920-854-4707.

Please visit bathrooms on land immediately before departure. There is a small bathroom onboard for emergency use but there is no running water.

Our vessels are US Coast Guard Certified and inspected annually. Originally, our vessels were U.S. Navy commissioned “Liberty Launches”, which means they were used to transport personnel from ship to shore. They were built to be practical, dependable, and safe. The construction design is a 3-part sandwich: fiberglass exterior, thick flotation, and fiberglass interior. Amazingly, these vessels can be filled with water (like a bathtub) and still float! The Navy didn’t want to lose their sailors! Thousands of vessels like ours were built over the decades. After their stint in the Navy, this type of vessel is usually deployed into public transport or into the scenic tour boat industry. Our vessels are equipped with navigation systems, marine radios, personal floatation devices, life rings, fire extinguishers, and fire suppression systems.

All captains are US Coast Guard Licensed Master Captains. All captains and crew are certified in CPR/AED and First Aid.

Our boats are 40 feet long. Although they are Coast Guard approved for 40 passengers, our ideal headcount is closer to 25. We‘ve reduced our headcount to provide passengers with more comfortable seating and more room to move about the boat.
-
Boarding our vessels requires taking 3 steps up off the dock to get over the side of the boat, and then 3 steps back down to get into the boat. We have no other special way to board passengers. We are happy to assist you as we are able, but we can only offer limited assistance. The small bathroom onboard is not handicapped accessible.

Similar to most tourist areas, it’s expensive to live in Door County, and service workers appreciate your generosity. Our crew is passionate about sharing their love of this beautiful area. Please consider tipping our captain and crew for a job well done. Typical gratuity for this type of activity is $5-$10 per guest. Our crew greatly appreciates your generosity, thank you!
